Cortec VpCI emitting devices are designed for use in interior enclosures that are covered, closed or sealed. Cortec’s VpCI technology provides multi-metal protection against rust, corrosion, oxidation, and tarnishing. Cortec’s VpCI Protection system can be used in both indoor and outdoor confined space applications. Length of protection depends on integrity of sealing and atmospheric conditions.

Cortec VpCI Emitters
Cortec VCI emitters are small, patented foam emitters through which the corrosion inhibitor is slowly released and moisture and air pollutants can enter to be absorbed. It provides long-term protection against corrosion even in the presence of adverse conditions including salt, moisture, airborne contaminants, H2S, SO2, NH3 and others.
Typical Applications
The VpCI-101 can be effectively used for all operating, packaged and stored electrical equipment, marine navigation and communication equipment, aerospace electrical controls, electric motors, switching equipment, fuse boxes, power boxes, medical equipment, electrical wire ways, terminal boxes, scientific and measuring instruments, telecommunications equipment and remote electronics devices.

Cortec VpCI Pipe Strip
Cortec Cor-Pak Pipe Strip is designed for protection f tubes, pipes or conduits in storage or during shipping. Using VpCI technology, Cor-Pak Pipe Strip makes it possible to protect the interior of a tube or pipe against corrosion without expensive internal coatings. The flexible strip comes on a 500 foot roll and is 1/3″ in diameter. It is extruded from low density polyethylene containing a proprietary VpCI compound designed for protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys. It is especially effective on more expensive stainless steel and aluminum pipes.

You can now eliminate expensive and messy rust preventatives with the unique Cortec® VpCI®-130 Series Foams. Parts protected with Cortec® VpCI®-130 Series Foams are always ready for use, no degreasing or coating removal is required. Application of multifunctional materials such as Cortec® VpCI®-130 Series Foams results in significant weight and labor savings.
Application: Cortec® VpCI®-130 Series Foams are specially designed with vapor corrosion inhibitor impregnated throughout the foam’s polymeric matrix. They are excellent for protection of ferrous, non-ferrous metals and alloys such as: steel, copper, brass, aluminum, zinc, solder, silver, etc. Cortec® VpCI®-130 Series Foams do not change critical physical and/or chemical properties of electronic components, and are suitable for protection of printed curcuit boards.

STORAGE AND PACKAGING
VpCI®-130 Series Foam has a shelf life of 2 years when sealed in the original package. To maintain VpCI® strength, unused foam should be kept sealed in plastic bags.
