Blue Indicating Silica Gel can appear as beads, in granular, or powder, and is typically tough and hard, slightly resembling glass. Using silica gel with indicating abilities allows the user to know when the product has reached its adsorption capacity and will no longer continue adsorbing water. This product can be used in various applications, from atmospheric desiccation to protect general goods to use in power transformer breathers. With cobalt chloride, blue silica gel turns from blue to pink after adsorbing moisture, which visually indicates that adsorption capacity has been reached and the product needs to be regenerated or replaced.Storage
