For example, placing a Cor-Pak® 1-MUL Pouch or a VpCI®-101 Device inside a small box will provide enough corrosion protection for an enclosed space of up to 1 cubic foot (28 L). A Cor-Pak® 8-MUL Pouch will protect 8 cubic feet (0.23 m3), and a VpCI®-111 Emitter will protect 11 cubic feet (0.31 m3). Manufacturers looking for an unnoticeable dry film rust preventative can opt for water-based VpCI -377 or biobased BioCorr , which are both easy to remove if desired. Those who prefer a more traditional oily film rust preventative may opt for VpCI®-325, EcoLine® 3690, or EcoLine® 3220, which have varying percentages of biobased content.
Many of these rust preventatives are also packaged in EcoAir® bag-on-valve spray cans (powered by air instead of traditional chemical propellants) for convenient application around the plant. For instance, EcoAir® 325 Tool & Die Rust Preventative provides long-term indoor protection ideal for atomization across large surface areas of high value molds. EcoAir® 377 Multi-Metal Rust Preventative and EcoAir® BioCorr® Rust Preventative can be sprayed on individual components to leave behind a clear, dry film. VpCI® cleaners with flash rust protection are available in EcoAir® spray cans, as well, for the manufacturer who needs to take a full range of steps to “clean, protect, and preserve” inventory.
